Knole

Known as the first Engish sofa, the splendid Royal Stuart collection of furniture at Knole House in Kent contains the first recognised example of this upholstery style, with draught reducing high back and sides. We make them in a very traditional manner with removable hinged sides for design flexibility and an easier delivery !

Hotels, Golf Clubs, the British Army....

We have made new furniture for, and restored antiques on behalf of, many varied public and private organisations. These include: hotels and retailers across the UK; several English universities; English Heritage; Golf Clubs in Scotland, England and the USA; museums and art institutions in London; several British Army Regiments and, in 2012, Kensington Palace.

Furniture with character

Furniture with character

Every single one of our chairs and sofas is individually hand-made using traditional techniques and craftsmanship.

Our walnut stain gives our leather a rich patina, which enhances the grain, blemishes and scars found in full grain, vegetable tanned hide. Every spring is hand-sewn into a solid Beechwood frame, and every nail is painstakingly hammered in by hand.

Not everyone can appreciate the distinctive finish of hand-dyed leather, but if you have the taste for a unique piece that will be treasured for generations, we will be delighted to help you.
